Last weekend, we visited The Dad's folks in southern Oklahoma. Pretty much they live in the middle of nowhere, which means they are very popular during deer season. When we got there last Friday night, Papaw and Jeff, our cousin, had been out tracking a deer. When they came in Papaw looked pretty much like he did every other time we've every seen him. Jeff, however, was covered head to toe in Camo - the official clothing of choice during the fall in Oklahoma. Once Jeff & Papaw came into the living room, Daughter 2 snuggled close to me until bedtime. Jeff, since he was getting up early on Saturday morning to continue his fight against deer, slept on Mamoo's couch. That night, Daughter 2 said our prayers for us...
Dear God,
Thank you for our health and our safety.
Bless Momma and Daddy and Daughter 1,
Mamoo, Papaw, and the soldier sleeping on their couch...
