Weekly Run-Down

Monday, June 25 - I woke up at 7:00 to do my walk this morning.  I left the house at 8:00.  That's how slow mornings are around here.  Here's what I learned:
1.  I MUST sing along and sing loud whenever I hear "I Love Rock And Roll."
Source
2.  I'm certain that 72 degrees at the end of June is a helluva lot hotter than 72 degrees in mid-October.

Tuesday, June 26 - My alarm went off this morning at 7:00.  I was going to get out ahead of the heat.  Instead of walking, though, I went to the lake.  At the lake, I met a former student of mine and she wanted to drive the minivan.  I let her drive my minivan and I sat in the back seat with a lady that swore we were Facebook friends, but I couldn't picture her at all.  She told me that her son, who magically appeared beside me and Daughter 2 in the backseat, had stepped in dog doo and that's why they stunk. I looked out the window and tried to ignore her and I tried to smell the dog doo, but I never did.  Then I woke up at 10:22.  In my own bed.  And the temperature was 623 degrees farenheit.  It was a good sleep even if it was a weird dream.

Wednesday, June 27 - The Dad texted this morning and said I should get out of bed and do my walk because it wasn't "that bad" outside.  So, I did my mile and he was right; it wasn't that bad.  It wasn't that good either.  Today's goal:  Check out a cheap gym membership so I can walk inside when hell comes to visit and brings along its temperatures.

Thursday, June 28 - You know what I hate? Waiting on contractors so I can get my shower back.  So, here I sit.  All. Day. Long.  Waiting...

Friday, June 29 - I dragged The Daughters with me to the local church fitness center.  We arrived about 45 minutes before they closed.  I did a mile and just over 15 minutes and then we took over their showers.  The girls thought it was fun.  I was grateful for a quick walk and a hot shower.  It's the little things, people.
