Last April, I got to shine. I was in a little show called Listen To Your Mother in Northwest Arkansas. I shared the stage with thirteen other amazing women who told their stories of motherhood. Some made ya think. Some made ya cry (big ugly hiccuping cries). Some made ya laugh. I hope I made ya laugh. The thing that struck me most, however, was the friendships I made with my castmates. I love them all dearly.
When people ask me about my time on Listen To Your Mother, I gush about the experience. I gush so much that most of them say, "Why don't you marry it?" No... they don't really say that. They say, "Why don't you do that show here?"

When Ann Imig (the mother of Listen To Your Mother) opened up the application period for the 2013 shows, I requested an application. She mentioned that Oklahoma had already been requested but she gave me the name of the other requester. (Requester? Yeah, we'll go with that.) You know who it was? It was my fellow Mother, Misti Pryor. She graciously allowed me to apply as her co-producer.
Now, she is graciously serving as our team leader for the Listen To Your Mother Show - OKC!
I'll say it again: Misti, Julie Bohannon and I are bringing Listen To Your Mother to Oklahoma City. Y'all. This will be awesome sauce. Nothing less than awesome sauce.
I've got goosebumps to be a part of this at this level. Y'all keep close - this will be good!
