The End.
Almost seven years ago, I began blogging. Initially, it was just a cute little blog where I wrote down my deep, dark thoughts, and The Dad would read them. Except that my thoughts weren't that deep nor were they that dark. They were just thoughts. It was an online scrapbook and journal of my family.
Eventually, I wanted to branch out. I wanted others to know what a fun life I was leading--or at least commiserate with me when I served my kids pop tarts and gummy bears for dinner because momma was just too tired to offer anything more substantial.
Soon enough my readership grew beyond my hubby and (sometimes) my mom. Occasionally my sister would read my blog because she wanted to know if I had seriously posted the picture of her sitting on the toilet or the picture of her big, middle school hair. Then one day, a girl I went to high school with commented on my blog. And one day I ran into a former coworker at Hellmart who told me she read my blog. Then, before I knew it, lots of people were reading my blog. Eventually, most people who read my blog weren't even people I actually knew.
Because of blogging, I've met the coolest people. I've done the coolest things. I've had my wildest and dreams come true.
Sadly, however, that old adage "all good things must come to an end" is full of truth. And this, my friends, is the end of my blogging road. I will certainly miss sharing my every little thing with you. I'll miss your sweet comments, and I'll miss your crazy, psycho emails--kinda.
I didn't think my blogging days would ever end, much less end this way, but--alas-- it is the end of the road, just like Boyz II Men sang about.
So, thank you for your readership, your friendship, your laughs, your loyalty. I wish you well.
But, check back here tomorrow--I've got a great post scheduled just in case the Mayans are wrong and the world doesn't end and my blogging journey can continue.
