Daughter 1 NEVER sleeps in. NEVER. She is normally awake by 7:15. Every. Single. Morning. This week, however, we had just come home from a family reunion and then we had out-of-state friends who were just so much fun that we had to stay up late and night swim with them. It finally caught up with Daughter 1. And on this particular morning, she emerged from her room at 9:45.

Daughter 1: {silent, stoic face}
The Dad: How'd you sleep?
Daughter 1: {silent, stoic face}
The Dad: I made you a sausage wrap for breakfast.
Daughter 1: {silent, stoic face}
The Dad: Are you hungry for breakfast yet?

The Dad: Hello?! Are you awake?
Daughter 1: {silent, stoic face}
The Dad: Honey? You OK?
Daughter 1: Well, I don't think I can wake my brain up.
