An Open Letter To My Family.

Dear Family:

I am so excited to see you all this weekend. It's one of my most favorite times of the year. The Dad, The Daughters and I are busy burning up the road seeing as much of our families as we can. We'll deliver the gifts that we lovingly chose just for you. We'll eat your sweets and laugh at your jokes and then, just before Christmas arrives, we'll crash back at home.

It will be, really, the most wonderful time of the year.

However, this past week with the tragedy in Newtown and the near-tragedy within my own school district, I've been preoccupied. My Christmas tasks were, for all intents and purposes, done. Laundry-while it's never caught up-was under control. My house? Well, it's never clean any time of the year.

It was just hard for me to finish the little details. The small stuff. So, I didn't sweat it.

I tell you all this so that when you see me, IGNORE THE GRAY. I just didn't have the time or energy to color my hair.

Use your imagination.

Merry Christmas!
Love,
Momma
