How I roll in the minivan

My fabulous Aunt Kay texted me this week and told me about a cool contest that The View is hosting.  I don't typically watch The View because I'm teaching during that time.  My aunt, however, is an aficionado of The View.  So when she texted about this contest and said she thought I should enter, I completely believed her!  (If I win that Disney cruise for four, you can bet your sweet petunias my fabulous Aunt Kay will be getting a post card from one of our port-destinations.  She sure will!)


The truth is this contest is probably geared more for stand-up comedians than for laugh-your-ass-off-funny momma bloggers.  (I'm a laugh-your-ass-off-funny momma blogger, right?  RIGHT?)  But, I thought I'd submit a video and send it in.  The best thing that can happen is that I win.  SO COOL!!  The worst thing that can happen is that I don't win.

In between submission and winning, however, is my plan... I figure some producer or intern or maybe even Joy herself will be sorting through the entries.  (Hi, The View Intern!) and he or she will click on my link that takes them to this post (Welcome to Minivan Momma!) and while he/she is here, he/she will watch the video.  He/She will snicker or giggle or, hopefully, laugh so hard he/she (forget it, I'm assuming you're a she) hopefully she'll laugh so hard she farts.  And then - this is where my plan takes flight - she'll say, "Hey, Whoppi/Barb/Joy/Liz/the other one!  Come here and check this momma out!"  Then they'll all follow my blog, like my Facebook page, follow me on Twitter (MinivanMomma2) and give a shout out to me on The View and then some big publishing house will sit up and take notice, and they'll email me (minivan.momma.2@gmail.com) and say, "Minivan Momma?  Would you like us to publish your manuscript?"  And I'll say, "Hellz to the yeah!"

See?  It'll all work out.

So, keep your fingers crossed and keep reaching for the stars (sorry - wrong celebrity suck-up) and enjoy the very first Minivan Momma video post.  OH!  And if you like it, be sure to let me know - maybe I'll do it again sometime.
