Fifty Shades of Grey

My friend, CD Jarmola, The Resident Heretic, has graciously agreed to drive the minivan today.  She's an incredibly talented writer and a super-duper friend.  Plus, she puts all other heretics to shame.  Well, not shame in the traditional sense...  Enjoy!


My new dishwasher was supposed to come today, well actually yesterday. That would be the dishwasher that will replace the one I was ranting about back in March in the Fish or Cut Bait devotion. (I obviously am a little slow myself to cut bait.)  But it didn’t.

Running Into Church


I'm visiting my friend, CD Jarmola, over at Devotions from the Resident Heretic.  Check us out! 
Upon becoming parents, my husband and I were adamant about faithfully attending Sunday school and church every week, especially once our first daughter became mobile. We did love our church, but we also loved the two-hour break it afforded us as tired and worn parents. Each week, we'd drop our daughter off in the nursery and then lament the fact that the couches in our Sunday school room didn't pull out into beds. We loved our daughter and were thrilled to be parents, but holy exhaustion! Our very-mobile child literally left us panting.
