Weekly Run Down--May 4

What a great week it has been. My most popular post this week was one where I called out Nicholas Sparks as a saddist. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the "just-because" picture of Channing Tatum or not, but who cares? It's Channing Tatum.

Twice in one week, Mr Tatum's made my blog.

Also this week, I (along with my friend Jennifer McMurrain) was filmed for The List. They came to my house, so I had to clean it up. It was almost a deal breaker. Almost. It was really sweet having another famous blogger open for me. She was kinda like the T-Town Tunes to my Bon Jovi. Oh yeah, I went there.

I had a couple of great reviews to wind down the month with as well.  Check out what Brandi Barnett had  to say.  She's also giving away a copy!

My friend Sarah White got the first copy of her book this week and still took the time to post about TMI Mom.

And the good people over at Science of Parenthood hosted me up in their crib for a really fun interview.

To round out the week, I'm kinda involved in this fun little show in OKC called Listen To Your Mother. We've sold the show out twice--twice y'all. I hope you have your tickets and I hope to see you there!

My little environmentalist

We are fortunate enough to live not too far from the Tallgrass Prairie Preserves. (This is also close to another famous Oklahoma.  I won't name any names. The Pioneer Woman.) It was hot and it was steamy and the only reason Daughter 1 agreed to drive over to the Prairie was because we told her it was close to the aforementioned blogger. I hold no clout with my own kid. (Or Klout - jeez! I'm so confused!)

Funny Not Slutty - Keeping it real

On Saturday mornings, when we raise our heads at the crack of dawn (or about 3 hours afterwards), we like to have a nice family breakfast (when we’re lucky enough to have all the ingredients together – otherwise it’s each man for himself!). We start with gathering the eggs. Expiration dates? Did you know there are expiration dates on eggs? Really? You did? I had no clue. But I say, screw it! They’re pasteurized, right? Besides, if I get sick, the stay in the hospital will be a nice break … I’m just keeping it real, here! ...

Stalking Pays Off

Stalking is a long-standing traditionin my family.  I remember the night my own momma made me stand in a dark alley in downtown Tulsa to shake hands with her favorite musician (at that time).  ONce we finally got to meet Yanni and shake his bony little hand, we quickly raced across the street to the family minivan and locked the doors as we slammed them shut lest we be mugged by the criminals who had been stalking us since the concert let out.

Say Cheese for the Camera

Because I have been chosen to be a part of the cast of Listen To Your Mother (yea!), I also got to make my News On 6 debut.  This was going to be great exposure to my writing!

And great exposure it was.
